18-yr-old paints wonders with feet

Hyderabad: City girl Jahnavi Maganti (18) is making wonders and touching new heights by creating a Guinness World Record for the largest painting by feet ever attempted by any individual here at Lanco Hills Club house on Friday.

Jahnavi is aiming to break the current world record of a 100 square meters’ painting, by painting on a surface of 140 square meters with her feet. The canvas size is 32 x 52 feet. The record will be attempted in the presence of three witnesses.

She is an artist, dancer, classical music singer and a National Level Basketball player. Apart from being all of the above, she has a unique ability of ‘painting while dancing’. Recently she had fused both dancing and painting, and painted a lotus with her feet while she danced, to add to her list of creative projects.

She is not a mainstream artist, and loves to experiment with creativity in all of its forms as she is driven by wanting to create something new by challenging herself.

At the age of 15, she was the youngest artist to take part in the international “Global Art Expose’ Asian Art Expose- Hyderabad, a Kalanirvana Initiative”.
