Uppal: A two-day workshop on first-aid techniques was hosted at Kendriya Vidyalaya here recently. 32 Scouts and Guides participated under the guidance of Captain K Sharmila. As a part of the event, Dr Mohsin, a faculty member from St John’s Ambulance Association enlightened the students on various first-aid techniques used during choking, poison, burns, fracture, accident victims, bites, heart attack etc.

Videos on first aid were showcased for deeper insights and to get a hands-on experience on dealing with emergency situations. Students practised bandages and CPR procedure along with the recovery position in which a victim should be taken to the hospital. Faculty members Dr Yadagiri, S M L Annapurna and Principal P Srinivasa Raju took part in the programme.
