The 7th batch of Agronomists training to the Mandal Agricultural Officers(MAO\'s) started on Thursday at Extension Education Institute (EEI), PJTSAU, Rajendranagar. Dr M Jaganmohan, Commissioner of Agriculture, Telangana State was the chief guest and inaugurated the training program along with Dr V Praveen Rao, vice chancellor, professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University(PJTSAU).

Rajendranagar: The 7th batch of Agronomists training to the Mandal Agricultural Officers(MAO's) started on Thursday at Extension Education Institute (EEI), PJTSAU, Rajendranagar. Dr M Jaganmohan, Commissioner of Agriculture, Telangana State was the chief guest and inaugurated the training program along with Dr V Praveen Rao, vice chancellor, professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University(PJTSAU).

Speaking on this occasion Dr Jaganmohan said, “Advised the Mandal Agricultural Officers to support the farmers in villages for doing profitable agriculture by adopting the modern agricultural technologies and practices.

He also suggested the MAO's learn more and more technical and scientific advancements in agricultural which will enhance the capabilities to deliver better services to the farmers.”

Dr V Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU said, “This has emphasized the need of training program on capacity building to the MAO's will improve the technical and scientific capabilities.

And also he said that participating in these kinds of training programs will develop the networking between scientists and the agriculture officers which will help in sharing of latest knowledge and solve the field problems of farmers.”

In this 6- day training program total 34 scientists have delivered the lectures in 38 various subjects in agriculture and allied aspects. Dr D Raji Reddy, Director of Research, PJTSAU, Dr Anand Singh, Director, EEI were present. Across the Telangana State 50, MAO’s took part in this training session.
