Choked nala along roadside

Serilingampally: The open drains at the area are causing inconvenience to all the pedestrians residing in the area from Rail Vihar towards BHEL here. People often dump plastic waste that is getting accumulate into the drain, causing the water in the drains get on to the roads.

With this, the commuters are not able to pass through the area.The drain is not cleaned for months and the garbage is settled in one of the corners. The locals have requested the GHMC officials many times to clean-up the garbage, but their concern was not recognised.

B Venkanna a local said, “Because of the garbage, the drain water flow gets blocked and many people keep passing by this area, road stinks horribly especially for the ones who get stuck in the traffic have no other option than bearing the bad smell. “

Another local B Swetha said, “The garbage is piled here since months the mix of garbage and drainage stink is horrible, which is making it difficult for the commuters who pass by. Because of the mosquito’s menace, people are prone to diseases easily. The GHMC officials are not taking any action on this open drain.”
