Ramanthapur: Festive season is a time when all of us forget everything and steal every moment to share happiness of the occasion with each other. The rangoli competition organised by the Uppal BJP unit not only saw the platform where young ladies displayed their skills of art, but were also seen helping each other out whenever somebody was going wrong or needed help.

S Rizwana, the lone Muslim woman was a part of the competition told The Hans India, “I have been making rangoli ever since I was in class 5 and was of 10 years, though my family was not much supportive. After marriage my husband had completely given me the freedom to pursue my passion of making rangoli.”

Not only this, two foreign ladies named Katharina and Helena were seen amidst the crowd trying to groove in to making rangolis on par with the ladies in the ground. Kathrina, told The Hans India, “We are from Austria and have been here for the last five months now. We were passing by and saw the ladies making colorful structures, so, we thought of coming and trying out once.”

She further added, “One of the ladies here taught me how to make figures with the white powder and fill it with colour. I loved the experience and would like to come back to India to take part in this festive celebrations.”

NVSS Prabhakar, Uppal MLA felicitated the two women and promised the people that he would keep coming up with such kind of events time and again which would showcase the cultural diversity of our festivals.
