The RBI Financial Literacy Pavilion put up in Numaish 2018 was inaugurated by Regional Director for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad R Subramanian.

Nampally: The RBI Financial Literacy Pavilion put up in Numaish 2018 was inaugurated by Regional Director for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad R Subramanian.

RBI Regional Director stated that the Reserve Bank of India is participating in Numaish from 2007 and will continue to participate in the future also since Numaish is a very good opportunity to disseminate awareness and educate people about functions and working of Reserve Bank of India.

R Subramanian touched upon the main issues that are attracting the attention of the common man and provided clarifications on the same. He said that participation in Numaish will provide a great opportunity to spread financial literacy among different sections of the society. RBI takes up a relevant current topic as theme of RBI Pavilion and this year, the theme is ‘’Consumer Education and Protection’’.

A small skit to educate the people on the need for saving, not to fall prey to fictitious offers, using the bank credit for productive purposes is also presented.
CSIR- IICT stall launched

CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) stall was recently inaugurated at the 78th All India Industrial Exhibition “Numaish”.

The stall was inaugurated by Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, Prof. Arun Tiwari from Platinum Jubilee Mentor of CSIR-IICT and Chairman Sai Life Sciences Limited, Hyderabad Dr K. Ranga Raju. During the 45 days of exhibition CSIR-IICT will showcase Reverse Osmosis filtration of ground water to drinking water, enzymatic degumming of rice bran oil, Anaerobic Gas Lift Reactor (AGR) Wealth to waste and Pheromones technology.

The chief guest Prof Goverdhan Mehta said that it is a very good and innovative move by CSIR-IICT to bring science and the achievements of the Institute to the knowledge of the common public. They expressed their appreciation about the technology of enzymatic degumming of rice bran oil and said that it is a big boon to the oil industry and for the overall well-being of an individual.

All the other R & D activities of the institute are also displayed in the form of huge poster and will be explained to the visitors by senior scientists during these 45 days of the exhibition.

The chief guest and dignitaries said that it’s a laudable effort and would certainly be a big hit among the visitors. They wished the organisers the very best and wished that CSIR-IICT should always be in the fore front of such activities and should continue doing it on a regular basis.
