As part of its educational activities, Salar Jung Museum has opened a special photo exhibition commemorating 69 years of the Indian Republic in collaboration with Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), Government of India. Sandeep Shandilya, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday.

Afzal Gunj: As part of its educational activities, Salar Jung Museum has opened a special photo exhibition commemorating 69 years of the Indian Republic in collaboration with Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), Government of India. Sandeep Shandilya, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday.

The exhibition is divided into nine segments which include the pre-independent struggle from 1857 till 1947 with rare portraits of several freedom fighters, the Independence celebration segment besides Lord Mountbatten addressing the Independence Day session of Constituent Assembly on August 15, 1947. The exhibition will be kept open till February 5.

The exhibition displays the Constitution of India and unique rare 250 photographs focusing on the highlights of Indian freedom movement and portraits of great freedom fighters and achievements of the Indian Republic in the past 69 years.

Speaking on the occasion, Shandilya said that it was a great experience to go though the photo exhibition as it takes the viewer into the past. The exhibition is all set to inspire the younger generation and remind every one of the freedom fighters.

Lauding the DAVP for the exhibition, the Commissioner of Police appealed all to visit the exhibition and take peep into the hoary days of India’s struggle for freedom.
