U-turn nightmare at Kukatpally

Kukatpally: The traffic police at Vivekananda Nagar colony is not following any rules and not bothered about how the commuters are travelling.

For instance, if one has to go out of Vivekananda Nagar colony, they have to reach the national highway by 500mts and take a kilometre for a u-turn then only they can enter the colony.

Few are not obeying the rules as they are using the wrong route, the motorists are often meeting with accidents. Just as the traffic police blocked the road to escape work; the vehicles are taking the wrong route to reach the destination faster.

One of the motorists M Anand Reddy said, “It is very difficult for us to travel till the national highway to take a U-turn there is so much traffic in that area. Most of the time gets wasted. “

Another motorist K Gopal said,” My relatives stay at Vivekananda Nagar colony and to go to my house at Khairatabad, I need to take a U-turn least a kilometre afar. Many are taking a shortcut and many minor accidents are taking place in this area.”
