The road was blocked when the Metro Rail works were in full swing but even after the commencement of the metro services, the cement blocks have not been removed. People have to walk at least for 10 minutes to get onto the other side. This stretch is a regular bus route for many commuters.
The civic authorities need to take action and remove the bottlenecks and ease the flow of traffic, says Sneha, a regular commuter. Also, it is difficult for cars to move at Sanman Hotel as the parked vehicles occupy half the road, said Murthy, a resident of South Lallaguda.
The road was blocked a few years ago as the metro works were on, but now there is no need. People are wasting time unnecessarily by going all the way up to the State Archives and taking a turn. In the process there is a traffic jam opposite the Archives building as well, said Raju, a software professional.
