Chatrapati Shivaji Maratha Sanskrit Trust will be organising a 5K Run commemorating Chatrapati Shivaji Jayanti on February 18. The run will be conducted on February 4 at 6 am on the Necklace road under the theme “Run for integrity, unity and traffic rules awareness”.

Chandrayangutta: Chatrapati Shivaji Maratha Sanskrit Trust will be organising a 5K Run commemorating Chatrapati Shivaji Jayanti on February 18. The run will be conducted on February 4 at 6 am on the Necklace road under the theme “Run for integrity, unity and traffic rules awareness”.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, L K Shinde, Trust chairman, Dilip Kumar Jagtap, Sports Convenor, Prakash Patil, president of Telangana Maratha Mandal and Madan Jadhav released the poster of 5K Run on Wednesday.

They said after puja, the 5K Run (Shobha Yatra) will start from Shivaji Arch at Puranapul. The rally will pass through Jummerat Bazaar, Begum Bazaar, Barthan Bazaar, Siddiamber Bazaar, Shankarpet Hotel and culminate into a public meeting at Chatrapathi Shivaji statue opposite MGM bus depot.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, will be the chief guest. J J Shobha, Double Olympian and Arjuna awardee, Neeta Dadwe, Kabaddi player and Arjuna Awardee, Ajay Bharati, International Golf Player, will be the guests of honour. The trust will also felicitate the Arjuna awardees and other international players and celebrities, who will be participating in the run.
