Highlighting the impact of social evils like child abuse, child marriage, and child labour on girl education in the old city,  Balala Hakkula Sangham, a non-governmental organisation in collaboration with the Children\'s Sports Foundation and the South Zone police personnel would be hosting a 2K run on 4th February at 8.45 am from Laldarwaza Chourasta to Charminar.  

Charminar: Highlighting the impact of social evils like child abuse, child marriage, and child labour on girl education in the old city, Balala Hakkula Sangham, a non-governmental organisation in collaboration with the Children's Sports Foundation and the South Zone police personnel would be hosting a 2K run on 4th February at 8.45 am from Laldarwaza Chourasta to Charminar.

As a part of the event, nearly 10,000 girls from various educational institutions across the twin cities would be conducting a staunch campaign titled " Pado Beti- Lado Beti". With an aim to encourage parents in empowering their girl child through quality education and to break stereotypes that surround women, girl students in the rally would be essaying the roles of powerful women like Malala, Mother Theresa, P V Sindhu etc and will be sloganeering in support of girl education.

Tripuranana Venkata Ratnam, Chairperson of Mahila Commision, Sunitha Laxma Reddy, former minister of Women and Child Welfare, Revathi Devi, member of the Child Rights Commision along with Satyanarayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone would be participating in the event.
