Student from around eight colleges and a school participated in the closing ceremony of Samvidhan Live held at Government City College on Wednesday. After the orientation workshop, the participants took up social tasks and self tasks which were based on the fundamental duties and rights as mentioned in the Indian constitution. 

Nayapul: Student from around eight colleges and a school participated in the closing ceremony of Samvidhan Live held at Government City College on Wednesday. After the orientation workshop, the participants took up social tasks and self tasks which were based on the fundamental duties and rights as mentioned in the Indian constitution.

Each week, the Jagriks came along to share their learning’s from the tasks that were performed. After successfully completing five weeks, the programme concluded with the felicitation of all the participants in the closing ceremony.

The project was a two-month long campaign initiated by community named The Youth Collective, Delhi and led by Rubaroo in Hyderabad. This campaign journey aimed to engage young Jagriks (Jagruk+Nagrik or Aware citizens) between the ages of 14 to 30 years to understand and get hands on experience of the Indian Constitution.

Designed in the format of a real life simulation activity, Samvidhan Live has created a platform for young people to live the ground realities of the constitution, where they can understand the fundamental rights and duties as given in our constitution.

The Jagriks have come together for this unusual game, and to address their quest through fun and learning. About 22 organisations are implementing Samvidhan Live. The Jagrik project across 14 states in India has about 440 participants right now.The program then commenced with three batches of Orientation workshop where more than 45 adolescent and youth participated.

The Chief Guest of the event was Deepak Ripote - Commissioner of Income Tax. The program was attended by 200 people including the Jagrik participants, students of economics and political science departments as well as the faculty members and principals of the participating colleges.
