Storm water drainage works launched

Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud launched the Rs 54-lakh storm-water drainage works near Prof Jayashanker Stadium here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said a master plan has been designed for undertaking repairs to the flyover in Lalapet. Flyover bearings will be rebuilt at a cost of Rs 5.8 crore, he added.

Later, he went to houses of seven beneficiaries of Kalyanalakshmi scheme and handed over cheques to them. Corporator Alakunta Saraswati Hari, local leaders, officials concerned and residents were present.
