Harvesting the crop in front of the media, the resident, identified as G Ganesh, a doctorate degree holder, produced 36 kg of wheat without applying fertilizers. He said that he had applied neem powder and cow dung to the crop harvesting it in 90 days. His feat earned him a place in the Limca Book of Records.

He also produces vegetables and fruits in his terrace garden. He said that he will distribute vegetables and other harvested crops to his relatives free of cost.

He advised people to raise vegetable crops on their roofs without applying fertilisers. He cautioned them to water the plants daily in the mornings and evenings.
