Widened road turns into parking lot
The Gulzar House to Kali Kaman road was widened for free flow of traffic, but local businessmen have taken over the stretch and have turned it into a parking lot. The traffic movement on Gulzar House to Kali Kaman is generally remains congested however haphazard parking by the businessmen is further blocking the stretch.

Local businessmen have started parking their vehicles on the road blocking it completely resulting in traffic blocks. Few shop-keepers protested and also complained to the police but no action was taken. Ali, a local said, “Despite road widening near Kali Kaman, traffic problems near Charminar are not being addressed fully. The widened road was in use for some days but apathy by the traffic police has left this stretch unused again.”
People have demanded the traffic police authorities to take immediate measures to bring the widened road in use for the vehicular traffic. Interestingly, the road has been used extensively for the traffic movement after the ongoing Charminar Pedestrianisation Project.
