Musheerabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy observed on Thursday that progress was possible wherever law and order was maintained.
Speaking as the chief guest at the logo unveiling function where agreements have been signed between Telangana State Information and Technology Association and ZCOM Digithon on safe Telangana, an ensuing programme, and a logo was released, Reddy asserted that Hyderabad was safe because of the steps being taken by the State government and the police.
The minister said the 10,000 CC cameras installed in Hyderabad and linked to the control room were working effectively and well as a deterrent to rowdy elements and chain-snatchers. ‘They are scared to report to offences’, he claimed. Naini said steps would be taken in future to ensure more safer Telangana. He pointed out that CC cameras can be hired for use from technical companies like ZCOM.
Among those present were Gopinath Reddy, president of the Police Association, V Prakash, Sandeep Kumar, Pramod Rao.
