Government striving for development of dalits
Minister P Mahender Reddy asserted here on Thursday that the State government was striving for the development of dalits. Addressing meetings in 19 wards of the Tandur municipality, he assured to arrange the required land for grave yard and community hall for Dalits in Sitarampet after getting a survey done whether the government land there was occupied. Tandur: Minister P Mahender Reddy asserted here on Thursday that the State government was striving for the development of dalits. Addressing meetings in 19 wards of the Tandur municipality, he assured to arrange the required land for grave yard and community hall for Dalits in Sitarampet after getting a survey done whether the government land there was occupied. He was aware of the occupation by some persons.
Local Councilor Arvind Kumar, Shobarani and Ramulu stated that there was only three guntas of land in the grave yard for dalits in Sitarampet since 50 years for dalits because of which they were facing hardship in burying the dead. They sought the minister’s intervention in getting additional land allotted for the purpose. Among those present were Sudhakar, Venkat, Balram and many colony residents.
