National Science Day Celebrations were organised at NAARM on Wednesday. Around 150 students of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools visited the Academy on the occasion. The importance of NAARM, its role in the development of the agricultural research mangement in the country were apprised to the students besides orientation towards the agriculture-related career options.
Rajendranagar: National Science Day Celebrations were organised at NAARM on Wednesday. Around 150 students of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools visited the Academy on the occasion. The importance of NAARM, its role in the development of the agricultural research mangement in the country were apprised to the students besides orientation towards the agriculture-related career options.
Technology Enhanced teaching leaning in agricultural education facility, Technology Incubation Centre along with nursery visit were arranged for the students. On the occasion, essay writing and elocution competitions were organised for the students.
During the valedictory ceremony, Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, NAARM appreciated the students for their keenness and enthusiasm for the visit, and also motivated the students towards agriculture career advantages. He advised the students to respect the parts and teachers, and live upto their expectations.
Dr Soam, Jt. Director, NAARM drew the attention of the students towards scientific temperament, and fundamental duties as responsible citizens of India. Director gave away the prizes to the winners of Elocution competition. i.e., MsTanmayi, MsAbhigya (1st prizes), A. Kaishika and Sai Pranay (2nd prizes) and G. Arun and P. Sravya (3rd Prizes). The essay writing competition result would be given later as there was overwhelming response, and evaluation would take sometime.
Smt G. Aneeja, Editor-cum-PRO, NAARM, who organized the visit of the students, proposed vote of thanks. Teachers of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools Smt Madhavi, Sri Mohan and other officers and staff members of NAARM attended the programme.
