Dalits stage protest against Dubbaka MLA
Demanding the fulfilment of poll promise of free land distribution by TRS government, Dalits in Dubbaka town staged protest against MLA S Ramalinga Reddy on Friday. The locals belong to Scheduled Caste, who don’t have the cultivation land,  took out a rally from bus stand to MRO office in the mandal headquarters with raising slogans against the MLA.Â
Dubbaka: Demanding the fulfilment of poll promise of free land distribution by TRS government, Dalits in Dubbaka town staged protest against MLA S Ramalinga Reddy on Friday. The locals belong to Scheduled Caste, who don’t have the cultivation land, took out a rally from bus stand to MRO office in the mandal headquarters with raising slogans against the MLA.
The SCs submitted a representation regarding the same to the MRO of Dubbaka mandal. They alleged that the MLA was showing his interest in distributing three-acre land to only a few of particular section in their community despising them since the state was formed. The poll promise by the ruling party was still not fulfilled till the date, they alleged.
The protesting Dalits said the Dalits across Dubbaka constituency were being neglected by the government and also warned the government officials and their MLA to distribute the promised land in their area otherwise they would intensify their fight with the help of MRPS who exprtessed their solidarity with the protest.
The BJP and Jana Sena party who also supported the demand, said the TRS government had failed to keep their poll word of free land distribution to Dalits in the state.
