Telangana Employees’ Union ESI Hospital unit president Chima Srinivas on Sunday demanded stringent action against those who allegedly attacked ESI Hospital Superintendent Srinivas for the alleged negligence of the doctors leading to the death of an infant. The hospital staff on Sunday boycotted duty, staged a dharna while raising slogans to register their protest against the attack.

Nacharam: Telangana Employees’ Union ESI Hospital unit president Chima Srinivas on Sunday demanded stringent action against those who allegedly attacked ESI Hospital Superintendent Srinivas for the alleged negligence of the doctors leading to the death of an infant. The hospital staff on Sunday boycotted duty, staged a dharna while raising slogans to register their protest against the attack.

Srinivas stated that the infant’s mother Ratna’s delivery was done properly. But when it fell sick the infant was shifted to Niloufer Hospital. He maintained that correct treatment was given to the infant.

Soon the issue and other demands would be taken to the notice of the Home and Labour Ministers. He warned that services in the hospital would be stopped till the demands were conceded.

Later a delegation of the hospital represented to Nacharam police demanding action against the attackers of doctors and posting of two police outposts at the hospital. Among those present were doctors Ch Kaliyan, Vijayakumar, Madhu, Rajyath, AITUC ESI Secretary Venu Kumar, INTUC leader Hatiram and staff members.
