In a review meeting held at Medak Collectorate on Monday, District Credit Co-operative Bank’s chairman C Devendar Reddy said that the compurterisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS)should be computerised by the end of March. 

Medak : In a review meeting held at Medak Collectorate on Monday, District Credit Co-operative Bank’s chairman C Devendar Reddy said that the compurterisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS)should be computerised by the end of March.

This decision was taken in order to maintain transparency in writing, generating the audits reports and digitalisation of voters list of co-operative society members in all the PACS working in the districts.

He directed the officials to appoint computer operators for the speedy computerisation of the data, adding the generation of audit reports, etc., from now should be practiced at District Co-operative Office (DCO) at district level.

PACS are the banks situated in rural area and plays an important role in rural credit system by performing their activities on co-operative principles and also these banks are worked under the District Credit Co-operative Banks.

They provide short term and medium term loan to rural people to meet their financial requirements. The DCCB chairman also mentioned that the Normal Credit Limit (NCL) will also be sanctioned only from April 1 mandating the computerisation of the PACS.

The meeting was also attended by DCO T Venkat Reddy, Assistant General Manager of Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank - Hyderabad Surekha, CEO of Medak DCCB Srinivas, Medak branch Manager of DCCB and other staff of the Societies.
