Procurement centre inaugurated
In order to provide Minimum Price Support (MSP) for the farmers in the area, a procurement centre for Bengal gram was launched at Agriculture Market Yard at Gajwel on Wednesday. This procurement center is undertaken by the Telangana State Co-operaticve Market Federation (TS Markfed) and Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS).
Gajwel : In order to provide Minimum Price Support (MSP) for the farmers in the area, a procurement centre for Bengal gram was launched at Agriculture Market Yard at Gajwel on Wednesday. This procurement center is undertaken by the Telangana State Co-operaticve Market Federation (TS Markfed) and Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS).
The centre was inaugurated by the Telangana Food Corporation Chairman G Election Reddy along with Bhoomreddy, Chairman of Telangana State Housing Corporation providing the MSP of Rs. 4400 per quintal for the Bengal gram.
The TS Markfed is an apex organisation co-operative sector to serve farmers through the network of PACS, DCMS and Agriculture Market Committees (AMC) and village organisations of Self Help Groups and also for the storage and maintenance of buffer stocks at the market godowns.
