Madhapur: After the tremendous success of “Telugotsavam” on 26th March last year by the city-based renowned multi-cuisine restaurant, The Spicy Venue and Hyderabad Foodies (Facebook Group) and Dinely.in are back again celebrating ‘Telugotsavam 2.0’ on 11th March from 5 pm onwards with more grandeur and elegance.

‘The Spicy Venue’, the restaurant that is spreading the authentic Telugu cuisine aromas across the twin cities for over 15 years in association with Hyderabad Foodies, one of the first Facebook Groups in India spreading the ‘love for food’ have come up together with a unique experience to recreate the good old days.

This event is an attempt to gently remind the forgotten ecstasy of Telugu traditional celebrations. As the press note says: ‘We go to our villages and offer homage to the harvest on Pongal. We decorate the whole house with flowers, lights and burst crackers to celebrate the victory of goodness on Diwali. But on the auspicious first day of Telugu calendar, our very own New Year is sadly overlooked’.

This year to spread the celebration to a wider section of foodies in the city, it is being hosted at Phoenix Arena, Hitec City, Hyderabad. The arena will be decked up in breath-taking decorations, delicious Telugu recipes and many specially featured activities to live performance by a renowned music band.

For Rs.555 (all inclusive) per head, one gets to enjoy a huge spread of Telugu specialties, live Dosa Counters, Telugu dessert counters and more. This year the entire revenue collected from this event will be donated to a charity home.

As the handout further adds: ‘We have huge respect for our traditions and culture and an event of this kind was a longstanding vision and we are happy that it finally happened. It is very important to keep our current and forth-coming generations aware of our culture and rituals and what better opportunity than a festival. This is a basic attempt to bring some festivities alive’.
