They pointed out that local residents were facing hardship in view of the absence of a burial ground and called upon both public representatives and officials to take serious note of the issue and solve the problem.

The corporator said an Rs.37 lakh work order has been sanctioned to divert sewerage water from the grave yard, after being told that it was flowing from the adjoining colonies. The work would be completed in a month, she stated. Reddy assured the residents that efforts were on to put the graveyard to public use.

Responding to the representations, the MRO promised that he would also make efforts to resume use of the burial ground.

Among those who accompanied the corporator and the TRS leaders were former corporator Kotha Rama Rao, Manipal Reddy, S Manemma, Nageshwar Reddy, Kasam Mahipal Reddy, Ward Members Shoba Reddy, Surender Rao, Area Committee Member Singam Raju, youth wing president Srinivas Goud, Raji Reddy, Nagaraju, Gagan Kumar, Balnarasimha, Tinku.
