Prison officers visit jail premises
25 Prison Officers from various states viz., Odisha, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Delhi, Rajastan, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh visited Central Prison, Chanchalguda.
Hyderabad: 25 Prison Officers from various states viz., Odisha, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Delhi, Rajastan, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh visited Central Prison, Chanchalguda.
Initially, the officers visited visitors lounge of this prison and afterwards visited inside the prison and seen the practicing welfare activities of prisoners such as PT & Parade, Vidyadaanam, Morality & Ethics classes by Ramakrishna Math and Unnathi Counselling classes. The trainee officers observed the segregation of prisoners according to their cases and security measures taken to prevent untoward incidents.
While addressing the officers K.Arjun Rao, Superintendent of Prisons narrated the welfare activities introduced by V.K.Singh, Director General of Prisons, Telangana State towards the welfare of prisoners to reintegrate the prisoners into society after release from prison and also explained the best practices of Telangana Prisons such as beautification of premises in and out of prison and maintaining the prison buildings.
