The issue of Charminar hawkers and vendors has been escalating with each passing day. All the stake holders are sticking to their guns and officials are finding it difficult to come to any amicable solution in this matter. On one hand the vendors were allotted the space near Gulzar House-Kali Kaman road but the jewellers on the stretch are opposing it on the other hand.

Jewellers have been protesting against the decision of GHMC and traffic police department to rehabilitate the vendors or hawkers in front of their shops. Local political leaders and police officials have tried to convince the gold and silver traders on their decision but in vain.

Traders believe that presence of hawkers can affect their business and hence they opposed it. Whereas, the hawkers conducted protests and rallies demanding their rehabilitation after their removal from Charminar. Hawkers were allotted the spots on the stretch by means of lottery. Gold and silver traders are on strike and wanted the hawkers to be removed. This situation is confusing for the hawkers as of present.
