No new IT companies coming up in East Zone
In spite of Genpact and other companies in the East Zone no new IT/ITeS companies are set up in the East Zone. While scores of new companies are coming up in Gachibowli, Nankramguda, Madhapur and other areas, there are none in this part of the city.

Last year, there were some proposals for the setting up of IT companies but nothing materialized said Manoranjan Das, an entrepreneur. He adds, “East Zone has good infrastructure and connects other places and towns. If the development is going to happen in only one side of the city, it would create an imbalance.”
Even if one IT park is established in the East Zone it would do a lot of good for the region and also help people living in this part. According to rough estimates, about 30,000 employees from East Zone work in Gachibowli and other places says Ananthanarayan, an IT consultant.
This region has everything it takes for it to become an Information Technology Investment Region says Ananthanarayan who has the distinction of help set up several StartUps in Pune and Kochi.
Alex Thomas a real estate consultant says, “East Zone has a lot of potential especially after the Metro Rail connectivity. Housing and rentals are affordable as compared to Madhapur and Gachibowli.”
