Uppal: Representatives of various BC communities under the leadership of Telangana State MBC Welfare Sangham convener Gaddam Saikiran on Friday performed ‘palabhishekam’ to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s portrait and distributed sweets to people in Uppal Circle while expressing gratitude to KCR for allotting Rs.1,000 crore to the MBC Corporation and for increasing the loan subsidy to self-employment schemes.
They also burst crackers.Addressing the gathering, Saikiran stated that for the first time in the country the State MBC Corporation was allotted Rs.1,000 crore. He said KCR had signed the file on Thursday approving the amount. He said the subsidy on Rs.1 lakh loan to BCs was raised to 80 per cent and Rs.2 lakh and above to 60 per cent. This should be treated as a blessing by BCs, Saikiran asserted.
He said the MBC communities would be thankful to KCR for allotting Rs.250 crore each to Rajakas and Nayeer Brahmins, Rs.200 crore to Vishwakarmas .Saikiran said the sangham would conduct awareness programmes to take the CM’s decision to the notice of MBCs. He thanked BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna and MBC Finance Corporation Chairman Taduri Srinivas for the government’s gesture.
Among those present were local corporator Mekala Anala Hanmanth Reddy, Gopu Saraswathi Sadanand, Gandham Jyotsna, Nageswara Rao, leader Nerdham Bhaskar Goud, State co-convener Duguntla Naresh, Gangaputra Mettu Dhanraj, Balakrishna of Nayee Brahmana Sangham, Mummadi Sakshi of Vishwakarma Sangham.
