Parigi: On the eve of the proposed rally to mark the anniversary of the Millinium March, the police resorted to preventive arrests of Parigi constituency in-charge of JAC Mukunda Nangesh, TVUV district president D Srinivas, CPI leaders Srinu, Peer Mohammad, Venkayya. The detained leaders described the police action as ‘illegal’, while denying permission for the rally.

The leaders wanted the State government to answer why the rally was not being allowed when the TRS MPs were resorting to protests in New Delhi. They contended that crushing the rally to mark the Millenium March amounted to insulting the people of Telangana.
The leaders demanded immediate release of all persons arrested across the State and permission for the rally on March 10.
