Parigi: All set for conducting SSC examinations in 69 examination centers, including eight private centers, in Vikarabad district from March 15 to April 2.
In all, 15,256 students, including 6526 girls, are appearing for the public examination. Besides 1738 students, who have failed the SSC once, are appearing for the examination.
Security has been beefed up at all examination centers though there are no problematic examination centers from examination point of view. Prohibitory orders are in force near the examination centers.
Even if the students are late for the exam by one minute, they would not be allowed to sit for the exam. No specific orders have been received from the government to do away with the rule. However, officials of educational department are of the view that the state government is contemplating doing away with the rule.
No new CCTV cameras have been set up. Measures to make available drinking water, medical assistance and continuous power supply have been initiated. The pass percentage in SSC exam last year was 55. This year, the preparation was to achieve 100 per cent result, the Education Department Officials said.
Special classes have been started right from October last month for the exams. As the examinations are drawing nearer, some of the students are under a lot of exam stress. The officials concerned are making attempts to bust the stress. The Education Department Officials are making the last minute efforts to ensure that everything is in place for the examinations.
The students have been advised to reach the examination center at least 45 minutes in advance to avoid disappointment. President of parents’ committee M Venkataiah has called upon the examinees not to give room for exam-related stress and take the exams boldly.
If the private school principals were to deny hall-tickets to the examinees on the grounds of not clearing the school tuition fees, the matter should be brought to higher officials’ notice, the Education Department Officials said.
