Road repairs enrage residents
The residents of SP Nagar and Moula Ali woke up to a rude shock as the road that connects ECIL to other parts of the city at S P Nagar was closed for road repairs.M Dayanand, a resident of SP Nagar was fuming.Â

“The government does not lose a chance to make announcements in our colony through a mike in autos to make electricity and water bill payments but does not feel it necessary to announce in advance about road closure.” He added further, “Several parents were caught unawares and were standing for a bus and came to know that the buses were diverted. Some students were late for their exams.”
The buses have been diverted and now move via Mallapur and Habsiguda. In the past, the buses would come via Housing Board, ZTS, White House and Tarnaka now have been diverted to NFL, Ashok Nagar and ECIL.”
Suresh Nair, a resident of Moula Ali said, “Auto drivers are now demanding thrice the amount and people have no choice. If the auto fare was Rs 20 now one has to shell out Rs 50.”Workers say that it would take 10 days for the road repairs to be completed.
