TRS leaders protested at NTR X Roads in the town on Monday to vehemently condemn the attack on the Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud by Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and demanded an unconditional apology from him for the dastardly act.

They also sought Komatireddy’s suspension from the House for at least a year.
The Council Chairman sustained serious injury to his right eye when Venkat Reddy, in a fit of rage, threw ear phones at the Chair while the Governor ESL Narasimhan was addressing the joint session of the State Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council on Monday.
Taking a serious view of the incident, local TRS leader Subhaprada Patel warned the Congress leaders of retaliatory attacks.
As the Congress bus yatra fizzled out and proved to be a dampner, the Congress leaders resorted to such attacks, the TRS leaders lamented.
If the Congress leaders resort to rowdyism, the people would teach a bitter lesson to the party at the hustings.
