Vending machines to dispense sanitary napkins in RGIA

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, to ensure comfort to women passengers and promote hygienic practices, GMR Hyderabad International Airport introduced vending machines to dispense sanitary napkins.
Hyderabad: On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, to ensure comfort to women passengers and promote hygienic practices, GMR Hyderabad International Airport introduced vending machines to dispense sanitary napkins.
The machines have been installed in 26 women’s washrooms at various levels, both in the domestic and international areas, of the terminal building. They are coin-operated vending machines and users need to insert a Rs.5 coin for each napkin.
Additional facility of incinerator machines have also been installed to hygienically dispose the used napkins. Airport housekeeping team is assisting this facility.
