Mir Alam Tank being spruced up briskly

Bahadurpura: The lake beautification works at Mir Alam Tank have been going on at a brisk pace. The park adjacent to the tank is improved and it is recarpeted with grass mats.
The park is developed in many ways and tiles have been laid across the walkways in the park besides planting new trees and growing the ornamental plants in it.

Furthermore, the open space in the park is equipped with recreational equipment like slider and others.

Similarly, the Mir Alam Tank is also cleared of mud and hyacinth over past few weeks now. Municipal body is embarked upon a major task of the cleaning the existing tanks and lakes across the city and outskirts.

This initiative is being taken on the sidelines of the Mission Kakatiya which intends to re-invent the dead lakes across the state. State government had instructed the municipal officials to beautify the lakes and create bunds in order to create a breathing space in every area.

Deputy Commissioner Rajendranagar A Vijay Laxmi visited the park and inspected the wokrs and asked the officials to complete beautification works as early as possible. The boating in the Mir Alam Tank has been shut for many years now following the overgrown hyacinth across the lake.
It is expected that boating may started once the beautification works are completed.
