Demand for lottery based selection

Tandur: The Yalal mandal Congress leader Ravinder Reddy demanded that the farmers should be selected on lottery basis for receiving the tractors, which are being given to them on subsidy. He criticised that the tractors were being given to the ruling party activists and real farmers were neglected.

Farmers are disappointed a lot and concerned officials should select the beneficiaries on lottery basis. He also warned that he would take up legal battle if same practice continued further.
