Lunch-hour demo by State Juvenile Welfare staff

Saidabad: The staff of Telangana State Juvenile Welfare Board on Monday staged a black flag demonstration during the lunch hour protesting against the working style of Director Shailaja.

Officers’ Association president Mirza Raja Ali accused her of violating rules against the lower level staff and officials. Ali alleged that she was making money by awarding works without calling for tenders.

The staff also protested against the suspension of deputy director of Children’s Home Nageswara Rao for boys without any reason. They threatened to intensify the agitation if Rao is not reinstated on duty. The staff demanded an inquiry into the charges of corruption against Shailaja and vengeful action against the employees.
