Tandur to be developed at a cost of ` 25 cr
The Prajavaani public grievances redressal programme received 96 representations from public on Monday. Talking to media here, District Collector Sayyad Omar Jaleel said that Rs 25 crore has been sanctioned for development of Tandur. He asked the officials to prepare proposals for the same.

He cautioned the sand smuggling mafia of stringent steps to bring the culprits to the book. He said those indulging in the smuggling would not be spared however high positions they might be holding. He named joint collector Sandhya Rani as the Tandur municipal nodal officer. District Rural Development project director Johnson hinted at constructing 20 shops in villages and 30 in mandal headquarters to hold shandies in villages.
He said Vikarabad district ranked number one in implementation of the NREGS. Proposals have been sent to the government to increase the number of working days for the NREGS workers. Revenue divisional officer Venu Madhava Rao and others took part in the programme.
