Since then it is on full throttle. Year 1975 was a milestone year as OK Dinghy Association of India was formed. OK Dinghy was sailed at International level during 1980’s. To promote the sport further OK Dinghy hulls (boats) were manufactured at MCEME. In year 1985 Laser Class Association of India came into existence. Laser class is the most popular boat being sailed at competitive events both at National and International level.

1st Laser National Sailing Championship was organized by EME Sailing Association in year 1986 and since then every year we have been witnessing most vibrant sailing event, The Hyderabad Sailing Week. Adding yet another feather to its cap and bringing laurels to our city, EMESA has been accredited as 1st Yachting Association of India (YAI) centre of Yachts Man Training in Telangana and AP states.
