Workshop on ‘Disposal of Slag’ held
NMDC Ltd, R&D Centre organised a half-day workshop themed ‘Disposal of slag and other wasted generated leading to Zero Waste’ on Wednesday as a part of Swachhta Pakhwada.
Masab Tank: NMDC Ltd, R&D Centre organised a half-day workshop themed ‘Disposal of slag and other wasted generated leading to Zero Waste’ on Wednesday as a part of Swachhta Pakhwada.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Dr N K Nanda, Director (Technical), NMDC Ltd, Dr.T.C Rao, Ex Director, RRL Bhopal andRajan Kumar, Head, R&D Centre, NMDC. Dr. N.K Nanda, Director(Tech), NMDC Ltd emphasized on the importance of utilization of waste in present scenario. He also shared that NMDC is striving to achieve 65 MTPA iron ore production in coming years and accordingly requirement of land for storage of waste is challenging.
Hence, the waste should be converted into wealth through R&D intervention for sustainable mining. The workshop was highly appreciated by the delegates and considered very relevant and contextual in view of enormous growth in manufacturing and mining industries. The workshop was highly successful with an active participation of more than fifty professionals from Industries and research organisation.
