On the auspicious occasion of ‘Sri Rama Navami’ festival, the devotees of the erstwhile Medak district spent the day in full festive mood on Monday. All the temples in Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy districts were aglow with colourful floral decorations fully teemed with the devotees and the celestial wedding of gods Rama and Sita celebrated in a grand manner.

Medak: On the auspicious occasion of ‘Sri Rama Navami’ festival, the devotees of the erstwhile Medak district spent the day in full festive mood on Monday. All the temples in Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy districts were aglow with colourful floral decorations fully teemed with the devotees and the celestial wedding of gods Rama and Sita celebrated in a grand manner.

Deputy Speaker, Medak MLA Padma Devender Reddy along with her husband, participated in the celebrations of the festival at Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Medak town. They offered silk clothes to the deities and participated in the celestial wedding of the residing god. She said every temple in the State was being developed in a great manner under the Endowments Department post the formation of the Telangana State.

Badradri temple at Bhadrachalam will be renovated on the lines of Yadadri soon and the master plan for Yedupayala temple is being prepared for the development, said the Deputy Speaker. Municipal Chairman Mallikarjun Goud with his wife, Municipal Commissioner and other councillors participated in the fete.

Zaheerabad MP BB Patil celebrated the auspicious day at Ram temples at Gouraram and Ramareddy villages in Yellareddy constituency in Medak district. The lord Ram temples Siddipet and Sangareddy districts were reverberated with the chanting of name of lord Rama by scores of devotees.
