Infected chicken being sold openly
A resident of Dairy Farm area in Rajendranagar, Nayeem Ahmed has complained that the chicken he bought from a chicken centre in his area was infected with disease and he noticed insects in the meat when it was cooked. Nayeem said that his wife also could not notice it before it was cooked.
Rajendranagar: A resident of Dairy Farm area in Rajendranagar, Nayeem Ahmed has complained that the chicken he bought from a chicken centre in his area was infected with disease and he noticed insects in the meat when it was cooked. Nayeem said that his wife also could not notice it before it was cooked. Nayeem said that there is no proper mechanism to register a complaint if some thing goes wrong with food items especially meat.
He said that most of the chicken centres in city were dispensing poor quality and there was no proper checking for the quality of meat. He requested the GHMC food inspectors and authorities concerned to react and take stock of the issue. He appealed the general people to be check any meat before cooking especially chicken
