CM’s decision to waive crop loans of more farmers hailed

Tandur: TRS leaders and Farmers’ Coordination Committee leaders here on Tuesday lauded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao going on record on the floor of the State legislative Assembly that the state government will extend the benefit of the loan waiver to those farmers who had not benefited from it so far.
Addressing media at the residence of Minister Mahender Reddy, TRS state secretary K Purushottam Reddy said that the decision would benefit 1582 farmers in Peddemul mandal to the tune of Rs 9.04 crore, 595 farmers in Basheerabad mandal to the tune of Rs 5.95 crore and 132 in Tandur mandal to the tune of Rs 1.32 crore.
He said that Minister Mahender Reddy strove hard to get the crop loans of these farmers waived using his good offices with the government. He said Mahender Reddy explained the problem to the CM after discussing it Agriculture and Finance Ministers. Farmers representatives and several TRS leaders were present at the press meet.
