Youth withdraws fast as officials assure to solve water problem
As the drinking water problem is getting acute with each passing day in current summer, a youth of Damastapur in Marpalli mandal of the district on Wednesday embarked on indefinite fast demanding immediate repairs to bore well pumpsets and supply of drinking water through tankers.
Vikarabad: As the drinking water problem is getting acute with each passing day in current summer, a youth of Damastapur in Marpalli mandal of the district on Wednesday embarked on indefinite fast demanding immediate repairs to bore well pumpsets and supply of drinking water through tankers.
He was identified as Patlolla Vikram Reddy. However, he called off his agitation on Thursday evening as the officials responded and assured to look into the problem. He said he was forced to tread the agitational path as several remainders to bureaucrats and people’s representatives met with no positive response.
The drinking water problem in the village grew worse since the past three months. He demanded the TRS government to immediately solve the drinking water in Damasthapur by getting the pump sets repaired and by supplying water through tankers. He threatened to agitate involving the youth of the village if the government did not respond.
