Neredmet: The 111th birth anniversary of former Deputy PM Babu Jagjivan Ram was celebrated at Neredmet Crossroads in Malkajgiri constituency by the Medchal district BJP Dalit Morcha under the leadership of the unit president D S Venkatesh. Glowing tributes were paid to Jagjivan Ram who the speakers said strove for the betterment of weaker sections. Venkatesh garlanded the late leader’s statue and paid tributes.

Addressing the gathering, he said the current-day politician should take Jagjivan Ram as their inspiration. ‘Everyone should strive to work towards realising his ideals’.

Among those present were BJP State Executive member Jillela Ravi Yadav, district unit Vice-president Anand, general secretary Kandadi Sathi Reddy, secretary Kanyam Rajalakshmi, Assembly convener Srinivas Mudiraj, division president Sadanand Goud, Ramesh Goud, leader Rambabu, Kolimi Rammohan, Lava, Gopu Ramana Reddy, Mallesh, Parvathalu, Pankaj, Srinivas Mudiraj, Anjaiah Yadav.

Lalapet: Tarnaka Corporator Alakunta Saraswathi and TRS leaders on Thursday paid glowing tributes Babu Jagjivan Ram at his jayanthi celebrations in Isukabavi and in Shantinagar Crossroads. They garlanded the portraits of Jagjivan Ram and Dr B R Ambedkar. The corporator advised all to follow the path shown by great men whose efforts in ushering social change would always be remembered .

Among those present were TRS division greater youth wing president Alakunta Hari, leaders Sunil Mudiraj, Sukka Ganesh Mudiraj, Nageswar Rao, Isukabavi Nagaraju, Vanjari Venkatesh, Shiva, Yerra Nagaraju, Yadagiri, Navin Mala, Mallesham, Lakshminarayana, Bavandlapalli Sudhakar.

Chinna Thokatta: The Chinna Thokatta Nakkalapally Welfare Association on the occasion of 111th birth anniversary celebration paid floral tributes to Dr Babu Jagajivan Ram at Chinna Thokatta, New Bowenpally here on Thursday. J Maheshwar Reddy, Secunderabad cantonment Board (SCB) ward member 1, T N Srinivas, chairman, Bowenpally market yard, A Narsimha Rao, ward No 1, president Lakshman and others were present on the occasion.

Nacharam: Congress SC Cell General Secretary for Kapra Bhanu celebrated 111th birth anniversary of former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram near Vyjayanthi Cinema on Thursday.

Congress in-charge for Uppal constituency Bandari Lakshma Reddy and Nacharam corporator Shanthi Saizen Shekar were chief guests. They paid tributes to Jagjivan Ram by garlanding his portrait. Fruits were distributed on the occasion. Congress leaders Saizen Shekar, Katepalli Ravinder Reddy, Vittal Yadav and Gara Kiran, ward members Rajesh Goud, Sugunakar, Yadagiri, Raju, Kumar and others were present.

Suraram:The 111th birth anniversary of former deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram was celebrated with enthusiasm and rich tributes were paid to the dalit leader at various places in northern Hyderabad. At Suraram, Medchal joint collector Srinivasa Reddy lighted a lamp marking the inauguration of the celebrations.

Qutubullahpur revenue inspector danced on the stage on the occasion. He explained the gathering the services rendered by Jag Jivan ram. Suraram MLA Kuna Vivekananda was also present on the occasion. A nursing college student stunned the gathering accusing the MLA at the event. She alleged that the MLA was did nothing to serve the people and his only abjective was to amass wealth.

At Qutubullahpur, Kuna Vivekananda described Jag Jivan Ram as the leader who waged relentless battles against untouchability and played a crucial role in the freedom struggle. The credit of continuing in the central Cabinet for long goes to the dalit leader. True tribute to him would be to follow his footsteps. The MLA laid the foundation stone for a community hall on the occasion.
