TSBIE issues show cause notice to 12 jr colleges

Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) issued show cause notices to 12 private junior colleges including, Narayana, Chaitanya and Velocity junior colleges within the last one week.

The colleges, particularly the managements of private, un-aided junior colleges were instructed to not conduct any classes during summer vacation. Several corporate junior colleges continued with the classes in defiance of the order and hence, TSBIE issued show cause notices. A student of second year MPC from a junior college in Madhapur, committed suicide on Friday in Kukatpally, and the student unions allegedly cited study pressure as the reason.
