Charminar: The free eye check-up camp organised in Old City’s TDP office received good response from patients coming from different locations in the area on Wednesday.

During the four-hour camp which was organised by the TDP vice president & Hyderabad Parliament Constituency In-charge, Telangana Ali bin Ibrahim Masqati, about 150 patients were screened. The doctors from Indo-US Eye Hospital (Malakpet) who screened the patients identified that about 20 persons were suffering from cataract problem.

About 10 patients whose condition was grave were marked for undergoing free surgery at Indo US Eye Hospital, whose expenses will be borne by Sahayata Trust, involved in social activities. While the TDP vice-president, Masqati will be funding for the glasses to about 60 patients. “We have been conducting the camp for the past nine years regularly almost each month except Ramzan month. We hope that the people get benefitted with this kind of camp,” said Zubair Amoodi, camp in-charge.

The camp was held at TDP, Old City Office, Malwala Palace, Alijah Kotla, near Charminar. Md Omer Khan, Syed Basheer, Syed Layeeq, Gayas uddin, Md Iqbal Hussain, Syed Laiquddin, Md Shoukat, Nagraj Yadav, Srikanth, M A Sattar, Shahran Bin Ali and others participated in the camp.
