Foundation stone laid for `1.16-cr works
Malkajgiri MP Malla Reddy along with LB Nagar legislator R Krishnaiah and corporator Ramawat Padmanaiak on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a series of development works to be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.16 crore in Hastinapuram division of the LB Nagar constituency.
Hastinapuram: Malkajgiri MP Malla Reddy along with LB Nagar legislator R Krishnaiah and corporator Ramawat Padmanaiak on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a series of development works to be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.16 crore in Hastinapuram division of the LB Nagar constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Malla Reddy said road and drainage development works in various colonies under Hastinapuram division are being taken up with MP Local Area Development Scheme funds and that of the GHMC funds. Promising to live up to the expectations of the people, the MP said that he was dedicated to the service of the people.
During the past four years, development works wroth several crores of rupees have been implemented in various colonies of the division. Problems that came to his notice are being resolved. There is need to create basic amenities at various places, he said pointing out that the city limits are being stretched. Ramawat Padmanaik put the quantum of development works initiated so far in Hastinapur division at Rs 4 crore.
The development works include laying of CC road at Srirama Ayodhya Nagar, BT road in Tulja Bhavani Nagar, construction of a community hall at Sri Venkateswara Colony, laying of a CC road in Sri Venkateswara Colony, CC roads in Hanuman and Sri Nagar colony and development of drainage in New Datta Nagar.
