Tandur: Congress and TRS leaders on Friday night clashed and nearly came to blows at a dhabha in Lakshminarayanapur cross roads in Yalala mandal. They clashed over poor seating arrangements at the Dhabha. The TRS leaders involved in the clash included Yalal Mandal MPP Sailu Goud, former MPP Karanam Purushottama Rao, Mandal TRS president Sidrala Srinivas, farmers coordination committee coordinator Surendra Reddy and so on.

According to the DSP Ramachandram, the Congress leaders – Ravinder Reddy, Chandrasekhar Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy -- blamed the hotel management for poor seating arrangements. The TRS leaders resisted them. A complaint has been lodged with the police charging the Congress leaders with abusing a worker of the dabha – Girijapuram Kistappa -- in the name of caste. The DSP Ramachandram registered a case to this extent.

When Kistappa was contacted for his statement, he claimed to be not there at the dabha when the incident had taken place.
He charged the dabha owner with obtaining his signature forcibly on a white paper. He claimed to have no relation whatsoever with the clash and sought to know why the politicos are unnecessarily maligning him in their clash.
