President of TJS Prof M Kodandaram on Sunday demanded takeover of the evacuee properties by the State government for building houses of the poor.  Addressing a TJS meeting at Mallapur, in Uppal constituency, he accused the government of handing over the evacuee properties to traders and wealthy persons. The TJAC chief alleged that the TRS government failed to honour the party’s election promises.

Nacharam: President of TJS Prof M Kodandaram on Sunday demanded takeover of the evacuee properties by the State government for building houses of the poor. Addressing a TJS meeting at Mallapur, in Uppal constituency, he accused the government of handing over the evacuee properties to traders and wealthy persons. The TJAC chief alleged that the TRS government failed to honour the party’s election promises.

Prof Kodandaram threatened to launch an agitation for securing the evacuee lands in the Kapra circle. Hundreds of activists including Mallapur TRS leader Kotha Malla Reddy joined the TJS. They alleged that even after four years the TRS government failed to honour the party’s poll promises and that it was resorting to only talk. The activists asserted that they had joined the TJS for Kodandaram, who had striven for achieving Telangana.
