Hyderabad: The fourth edition of Inorbit Mall’s Pink Power began on March 8 on International Women’s Day. It’s an initiative to encourage women entrepreneurs to upscale their existing businesses by making inroads into retail under expert guidance.

Women Entrepreneurs across 5 locations were invited to share their business details and in a span of a month and a half, a whopping number of 538 registrations have been received across Inorbit’s locations– Mumbai (Malad and Vashi), Bangalore, Hyderabad and Vadodara. These entries will now be judged by a panel of jury members and the most promising entries will stand a chance to win free retail kiosk space at Inorbit malls for a period of 9 months.

To be eligible to register the business venture on Inorbit’s website, these women entrepreneurs had to ensure it was under any of the listed categories like fashion, home-décor, Accessories, handicrafts, food & beverage. Maximum number of entries for Season 4 is from categories like Fashion apparel & Food & Beverage.

This year in addition to the free retail space of 9 months at Inorbit, the winners will have the advantage of attending training workshops hosted by Trust for Retailers and Retail Association of India (TRRAIN) and Retail Association of India (RAI). With Central Bank of India as sponsor for Pink Power, winners also get an opportunity to avail loans to augment their business plan.

Apart from this, Pink Power is also supported by retail brands like Chumbak, Go Colors and VLCC Vanity Cube as well as co-working office space Bombay Connect.

The results of the Pink Power Season 4 are likely to be announced by May end. Commenting on the huge response, Mr. Naviin Ibhrampurkar, Head of Marketing, Inorbit malls, said “We are thrilled with the amazing response from women across cities. It’s going to be difficult selecting only 15 winners out of 538 unique entries.”

Inspired by the thought of creating a platform for giving women an opportunity to turn their dreams to reality, Inorbit mall launched the Pink Power Campaign in 2015.

Their vision is to empower women entrepreneurs by creating a business platform at Inorbit malls across all 5 geographies. This unique initiative has been recognized at several prestigious award forums like Asia Shopping Centre Forum, ABBYs EFFIEs and DMA Asia Awards.
